WHMS statement regarding COVID-19 vaccinations

West Holt Medical Services will be receiving an allotment of vaccine for COVID-19 in the coming weeks. Initial supplies of the vaccine will be limited. A detailed plan for the prioritization of who will receive the vaccine is being developed with guidance from the North Central District Health Department.

Based on the recommended prioritizations, the vaccine will first be offered to members of at-risk populations. Examples of at-risk populations include, but are not limited to, people aged 65 years and older and individuals with underlying health conditions. If you are interested in receiving the vaccine when it is available, start the discussion with your primary care provider. With a greater knowledge of your personal history, they may be able help you more accurately identify where you fall within the prioritization for your area.

 WHMS understands that demand for the vaccine will exceed supply early on. Please know that as soon as supplies allow, we hope to be able to provide a vaccination for anyone who desires.
