WHMS Foundation Seeking Variety Show Acts
ATKINSON — Do you have a unique talent or enjoy performing? West Holt Medical Services Foundation is seeking musicians, singers, dancers, gymnasts, comedy skits, or novelty acts to perform in its Variety Show Fundraiser on March 30 and 31, 2019.
In 2017, nearly forty performers took the stage and more than $6,000 was raised for West Holt Medical Services Foundation. Net proceeds from this year’s show will be used towards the hospital’s facility renovation and expansion project which include a new specialty clinic, laboratory, and surgical suite addition.
Individuals or groups interested in participating are encouraged to sign-up to audition. Audition applications and show information can be found here. Applications are due by March 4 to be considered for auditions on March 12 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Auditions and performances will take place in the West Holt High School Lecture Hall located at 1000 N. Main Street in Atkinson.
The public is invited to attend the live performances on Saturday, March 30 and Sunday, March 31. Saturday’s show will begin with a meal served at 6:30 p.m. with performances to follow. Sunday’s performances will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a dessert bar at intermission.
The audience will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite acts and prizes will be awarded to the top three acts. A suggested free will donation of $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger will be collected at the door.
