New surgery suite opens at WHMH

West Holt Medical Services is pleased to announce the completion of their new surgery suite at West Holt Memorial Hospital. The new suite was officially used for the first time on Oct. 28th.

The new operating room is double the size of the previous OR. The new area consists of a PACU (post-anesthesia care unit), where patients can both recover and be admitted, a new procedure room, and a larger, dedicated space to cleaning instruments and equipment properly. This all will help provide safer conditions for the patients and a better working environment for staff and physicians.

Upon completion of the new surgery suite, work began on the next phase of renovation at WHMS, which included remodeling the existing surgery unit into a new Lab area. That phase is scheduled to be complete sometime in the spring of 2021.
