Free Colorectal Cancer Screening Kits
Free Colorectal Cancer Screening Kits will be offered at West Holt Medical Services March 16-27.
Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer related to deaths in the United States and the fourth leading cause of cancer death in Nebraska. That’s why we are teaming up with CHI Health Good Samaritan to provide free at-home colorectal cancer screening kits. These tests are recommended yearly for men and women age 50 and older. Many people have no symptoms of colorectal cancer, which is why routine screenings are so important. These colorectal screening tests can find growths or polyps so they can be removed before they become cancerous. A colonoscopy is still the most effective way to detect colon cancer, but these test kits are a great start towards early detection. Individuals may pick up their free test kit at West Holt Medical Services: Monday through Friday, March 16-27, 8 am-5 pm.
