Welcome to our Festival of Races in the Sandhills Region of Nebraska where you will be greeted with small town hospitality.  The flat course is comprised of mostly paved roads that run through downtown and surrounding neighborhoods where runners will be greeted with cheers from energetic spectators and then the half marathon course travels out into our beautiful gently rolling prairies and agriculture community utilizing paved roads and a few well-maintained gravel roads while crossing the scenic Elkorn River multiple times and visiting the Atkinson Lake at Mill Race Park. The start and finish lines will be located downtown on Main Street. The 5k and 2.5 mile walk course will be on part of the same course as the half marathon but will stay on the streets in town. Streets in town will be closed to all traffic during the races. All courses will close at 11 am. The average temperature for May is in the 70s.
